Finca La Estacada emerged in 2001 thanks to Cantarero Rodríguez family's passion for wine-making. The winery aims to highlight the characteristics of Uclés while providing a quality, desirable product at a great value. Sitting nearly 3,000 ft above sea level, the high elevation of the estate in combination with the calcareous influence from the lime substrate in the soil present wines are lighter and brighter than one might expect from central Spain.
Tasting Notes:
This Tempranillo presents with aromas of cherries, cranberries, and subtle leather nuances. Tannins are young, but sweet and provide a serious mouthfeel with notable balance.
Pair it With:
Fresher styles of Tempranillo like this one are wonderful with baked pasta dishes, and any dish with a tomato based sauce (like pizza).
