Sofia and Filipe were still college students when Sofia’s father acquired the nearly 4,000 acre property that is now Herdade do Sobroso. The young couple jointly developed one of the most extensive vineyards in all of Alentejo, Portugal. A dream come true for Sofia and Filipe, the quality of their persistence comes through with every sip.
Tasting Notes:
A serious red wine that pours a very dark cloudy crimson. There are notes of blackberry and blueberry on the nose. The palate is dry with nice acidity and prominent but well integrated tannins. This is a well balanced, full bodied wine with a long finish.

The rich flavor and high tannin content in this wine make it a perfect partner to rich grilled meats, peppery sauces, and dishes with high flavor.
