Sofia and Filipe were still college students when Sofia’s father acquired the nearly 4,000 acre property that is now Herdade Do Sobroso. The young couple jointly developed one of the most extensive vineyards in all of Alentejo, Portugal. A dream come true for Sofia and Filipe, the quality of their persistence comes through with every sip.
Tasting Notes:
This wine is a concentrated and dense wine with aromas of ripe red fruits, cocoa dust and jam. It has a long and smooth aftertaste.
Pair it with:
Darker meats and exotic spices bring out the fruit notes in this wine. Try it with Lamb shawarma, gyros, Asian five spice pork and even Indian tandoori meats.

Aging:
12 months in French oak, followed by 6 months in the bottle.
