Founder's Story by Peter Brinkman
Originally from the United States, I moved to Portugal with my wife Nina, over 15 years ago. In living abroad, we truly fell in-love with the culture, wine and food of Portugal, and so felt inspired to share our experiences with people back home. Which is how our wine shop in Virginia Beach, Tinto Wine and Cheese, was created.
In sharing wonderful wines of Europe, and elements of our experiences with our customers, we were encouraged, by them, to also create Tinto Wine Tasting Tours. Due to ever increasing enthusiasm from our customers, we now have Tinto Wine Tasting Tours in Portugal, as well as in some of the best wine regions in Italy, France and Spain; having joined with various local guides and wine connoisseurs, who also seek to share the heart and art of travel, food and wine.
Each of our tours have been designed to share the most delightful and delicious aspects of European culture, in ways where you can sit back, enjoy your travels, and make memories that will last a lifetime.
