Turina is a wine cellar and family farm that has been devoted to the cultivation of wine and olive trees for many generations. Currently, it is being managed by three brothers; Paolo, Luigi and Dario. It was their grandfather, also Luigi, who first started the family’s wine making tradition with plantings of Groppello, a native Valtenesi grape.
Tasting Notes:
From their best vineyards, and during their best vintages, Turina harvests a small percent of Trebbiano di Lugana, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling to leave on fruit-drying racks to wither for approximately fifty days. During this time they lose about 50% of their weight. After a delicate pressing, the must is full of sugars and intense flavor. A slow winter fermentation contributes to a wine that is intense, sweet, warm and fruity with soft aromas of exotic fruit and honey. This wine has high aging potential.
Pair it With:
This wine is absolutely perfect paired with ripe cheese and dry pastries.
