Valténesi Riviera del Garda Classico, Lombardy, Italy
Cantine Turina is a wine cellar and family farm that has been devoted to the cultivation of wine and olive trees for many generations. Currently, it is being managed by three brothers; Paolo, Luigi and Dario. It was their grandfather, also Luigi, who first started the family’s wine making tradition with plantings of Groppello, a native Valtenesi grape.
Tasting Notes:
This is a delicious wine. It gives aromas of red fruit and baking spice and pours a medium body with velvety and soft tannic structure. The wine tastes much like it smells, with delicious flavors of fresh red berries, jammy fruits and baking spice, giving it an almost “blueberry pie” quality. The wine is dry.
Pair it With:
We absolutely love this wine with stewed and grilled meats, barbecue, roasted chicken, lamb, and moroccan and middle eastern spices.
Grape Varieties:
Groppello with small amounts of Rebo and Marzemino
