La Rioja in Northern Spain is most famous for its wines made with the Tempranillo grapes that grow well in the region’s dry climate. La Rioja is in the Ebro River Vally and its 7 small tributaries create the valleys of Rioja. Despite their decreasing size, the valleys contain a large portion of the nations biodiversity and each one creates its own unique microclimate.
