Based in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of northeast Italy, Petrussa is one of Italy’s best and most under the radar estates. In 1995, Hilde Petrussa took over for her mother as the head winemaker of the estate. She began to focus on indigenous grapes and making high quality wines with them. She has earned a name for herself doing so.
Tasting Notes:
Ribolla Gialla is an ancient white varietal from northern Italy, bordering Slovenia. It is rarely seen anywhere else. This wine is light in body and offers fruity, floral aromas and bright acidity.
Pair it With:
The acidity in this wine would be amazing against deep fried seafood, lemon caper veal piccata, fresh salads or mussels in a white wine garlic sauce.
